Full View Please!

So this is for a contest on Wajas. This is Azoth and he belongs to, this loverly person, Hikaru, who just so happens to be on DA, so here's their gallery link, [link] . Rock on to them for holding a contest

So I sketched this on paper, like homg fo shizzle!! Without a reference

which is why it looks, you know, original lol. I wanted the background to have that hazy, in the background look, but I failed, for sure. I left line art on the front most images (ie Azoth and the rock he is standing on). I like that look and it was sort of my plan all along. That and I'm just not ready to do digital drawings without lineart. *pokes background* For real. And I had setup the drawing to fade out around the edges, but it was I dunno, just looked stupid, so I added the border. Which I dunno, I pondered over having it, not having, it and ended up having it - homg obviously.

I like critiques as much as the next person, but I'm only looking for coloring, PLEASE DO NOT CRITIQUE THE ANATOMY! I don't need people to point it out for me. K thanks.

Well, i don't think i coulda done the BG better either XD;; which is why i made it transparent *lazy*

aws, i really love his pose <3 and i have no idea why i'm praising the enemy 8D but GOOD LUCK!!

Well I had sketched a background with it, otherwise I prolly would of made mine transparent too, but then the lines woulda have to of been all nice and crisp and the coloring too, which I sure is sloppy you just can't tell

Ha ha the technique of hiding mistakes.

But yers is smexy so just shudup

Thanks. I'm trying to get into doing backgrounds, but they're just so much work and I always over complicate them ._o You make it look so easy xD

PSH I hate them as much as the next, and they DO take forever which is why I rarely finish the big ones lol... I'm working on this one now actually, though I haven't added to it in weeks x.x [link]

Yeah they do. Took me forever just to do a background with no characters in it [link] and wow I just realized I never uploaded the finished one. But anyways yours is lookin great! I find that actually foliage is a life saver if bigger pieces, because it doesn't have to be so defined in the background.

lol yeah, though the forest in the BG in my pic was fun to make, using the misty covering of it and all. The foreground is the harder part, and that grass! Ugh... I'll redo it probably, looks too much the brush it is lol.
